RULES FOR KICKING ASS

Finally… let the festivities begin! It’s all fun & games until you blink and *whoops* it’s already the 20th December, you haven’t even finished Christmas shopping (never mind wrapping them) & you feel the ever-increasing pressure to get everything perfect. After all, the lady down the street looks so organised & annoyingly calm as she posts pictures of her ‘hinched’ home all over Instagram- right? Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the expectations and are at risk of losing that festive cheer. Statistics show that Stress, Depression and Anxiety increases during the lead up to Christmas. Loneliness, financial difficulties, family disagreements, comparing ourselves to others and physical tiredness are only a few reasons why this time of year can get us down- exhausting right?

These rules are for kicking ass in life but hey, kicking ass with added sparkle sounds even better.

#1 If you don’t try, it won’t happen.

#2 See failure as a beginning, not at end.

#3 Assume nothing and learn from everything.

#4 Absorb and learn from other people.

#5 Teach people what you know.

#6 Always go above and beyond.

#7 Make peace with the past. Forgive but don’t forget.

#8 Don’t focus your energy on negativity.

#9 Will it matter in 12 months time? If not, don’t waste your time thinking about it.

#10 Never compare yourself to others.

I am going to remind myself of these rules every single day to remind myself what is important and give me the motivation I sometimes lack. Is there anything you’d like to add to the list of RULES TO KICK ASS?

Wishing you happiness and festive cheer over the next couple of months!

Love, Kayleigh Rose x
